Black & Gold Room
This charming room contains a queen-size feather bed. Romantically, the original 1909 claw-foot tub with a 12-inch "rain" showerhead is located in the room itself with a private water closet.
Tom Taylor was the oldest son of John Taylor. He lived in the house both as a boy and as a grown man following his divorce. When the house was being restored, several letters addressed to Tom fluttered from the ceiling. The author, Marva, was a teenage girlfriend of young Tom's and not, we might add with a smile, his future wife.
