Eleanor's Room

Named after Eleanor, a kindergarten teacher and the last Taylor to live in the house, this room contains a queen-size feather bed. The private bath has a pedestal sink and a bath with a shower.
Perhaps the most well-known of the Taylors, Eleanor was the oldest daughter of Elizabeth and John. She was a local kindergarten teacher as well as an assistant professor at the University of Missouri. She lived in the house with Rachel, her youngest sister, until the late 1980s. Eleanor never married, but carried on a long-term relationship with R.B. Price, a successful local businessman.
